This program will cover the following topics:
PFAS
PFAS chemicals are the subject of ever-increasing regulation, litigation and investigative news reports. The original focus on PFAS manufacturers is now expanding downstream and affecting nearly every industry with ramifications in various legal and business disciplines, including environmental, product liability, real estate, corporate transactions and compliance. We will review the environmental and toxic tort perspectives and provide the most up-to-date legal developments with PFAS.
ESG: The Shifting Landscape of Modern Business
Companies and their investors are continuing to reassess their business strategies to address the ever-changing mandates relating to ESG (environmental, social and governance). These criteria factor into all aspects of their organizations and into many areas companies may not be paying enough attention to as they continue on their ESG journey. We address how the increasingly important ESG element of modern business can factor into transactions, long-term strategies, business operations and disclosures for all types of companies.
Legal Project Management (LPM)
There are a number of LPM tools designed to tackle specific issues and most are adaptable to help an in-house legal department spend less time managing logistics and increase time spent on legal issues. This session will focus on the five tools that can be adapted to any engagement and any company and any relationship. The tools are simple to create, simple to use and reuse, and provide a platform for analytical reporting.
