Over the past few years the U.S. government has developed new regulatory mandates and reinvigorated some older ones that reside outside the primary trade and export regulatory frameworks but still have a significant impact on these areas. We will shine a light on these requirements and provide guidance on integrating them into companies’ compliance programs. Our presentation will focus on:
- New federal contracting requirements, including Section 889, which focuses on telecommunications equipment and services, that impact the wider commercial supply chain.
- Government regulation of classified and unclassified data.
- General cybersecurity requirements that apply to export-controlled and other sensitive data.
