Thompson Hine LLP is pleased to announce that the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) has selected Thompson Hine partner&nbsp;<a href="https://www.thompsonhine.com/professionals/randolph-simone" target="_self" rel="noopener">Simone Randolph</a> and associate <a href="https://www.thompsonhine.com/professionals/sineneng-philip" target="_self" rel="noopener">Philip Sineneng</a>&nbsp;as Fellows and associates <a href="https://www.thompsonhine.com/professionals/hurley-jasmin" target="_self" rel="noopener">Jasmin Hurley</a>&nbsp;and <a href="https://www.thompsonhine.com/professionals/suzuki-kaoru" target="_self" rel="noopener">Kaoru Suzuki</a>&nbsp;as Pathfinders. LCLD actively promotes diversity and inclusion in the legal profession through initiatives aimed at advancing a new generation of leaders.

As members of the 2021 class of Fellows, Sineneng and Randolph will take part in a year-long, in-depth program devoted to relationship building, leadership training, small group sessions and extensive interaction with LCLD’s leadership, members (managing partners and general counsel) and alumni.

Randolph, who was a 2016 LCLD Pathfinder, is a partner in the&nbsp;<a href="https://www.thompsonhine.com/services/real-estate" target="_self" rel="noopener">Real Estate</a> practice group, focuses her practice on complex commercial real estate transactions. Specifically, she assists lending institutions with loan originations and modifications and has extensive experience in syndicated, mezzanine and construction financing. Randolph counsels companies with large real estate portfolios in all aspects of property ownership and leasing, including acquisitions and dispositions and facilities management and maintenance.

Sineneng, an associate in the <a href="https://www.thompsonhine.com/services/corporate-transactions-amp-securities" target="_self" rel="noopener">Corporate Transactions &amp; Securities practice</a>, focuses on the financial services industry with a concentration on regulatory and compliance matters related to the organization, registration and operation of investment companies and advisers. He regularly advises mutual funds, closed-end funds and exchange-traded funds and their investment advisers on issues relating to the development and launch of new funds, mergers, liquidations and restructuring of funds. Sineneng assists regulated entities in examinations by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), provides ongoing advice to mutual fund boards of directors on governance matters and routinely represents clients’ interests in interactions with SEC staff.

Jasmin Hurley and Kaoru Suzuki, also associates in the Corporate Transactions &amp; Securities practice, have been selected as members of the 2021 class of LCLD Pathfinders, a program for diverse, high-potential, early-career attorneys designed to provide practical tools for developing and leveraging internal professional networks through relationship-building skills, foundational leadership skills and an understanding of career development strategies.

Hurley’s practice multi-faceted practice includes advising startup and small businesses to large private companies regarding entity structure, formation, governance and financing, including business and commercial document preparation.

Suzuki represents public and private companies in a variety of public and private securities offerings and general corporate matters. He has advised startup companies, investment funds, stockholders and management across various industries, including energy and clean technology, life sciences and information technology, on general corporate and securities matters, including entity formation, debt and equity financings, and recapitalizations.

Additionally, Thompson Hine will participate in the 1L LCLD Scholars Program, which enables law students to work with attorneys from LCLD member organizations, providing them with professional experience and introducing them to the value of relationships and building networks with LCLD members.
