Thompson Hine LLP is pleased to announce that Curtis Tuggle was selected to become a Fellow of the American College of Bankruptcy, one of the premier legal associations in the United States. Tuggle is one of 30 nominees in the 35th class of Fellows who will be inducted in a ceremony in Washington, D.C., in the spring of 2024.
Tuggle, a partner in the Cleveland office, leads the firm’s Business Restructuring, Creditors’ Rights & Bankruptcy practice. He focuses his practice on distressed M&A transactions, out-of-court restructurings (including distressed financings and workouts), corporate bankruptcies, advising boards of directors with respect to fiduciary duties, and commercial litigation. He has significant experience representing financial institutions, private investment firms, and other stakeholders in distressed situations and major bankruptcy proceedings. His representations have spanned a variety of industries, including consumer products, manufacturing, retail, hospitality, media and news, construction, and energy.
Tuggle is recognized by Chambers USA in the area of Bankruptcy/Restructuring. He also was selected by his peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America® for Bankruptcy and Creditor Debtor Rights/Insolvency and Reorganization Law and named Bankruptcy and Creditor Debtor Rights/Insolvency and Reorganization Law “Lawyer of the Year” in Cleveland. He is also recognized in IFLR 1000. Tuggle earned his J.D. from The Ohio State University Michael E. Moritz College of Law and his B.S. from The Ohio State University, summa cum laude, with distinction.
