Steven G. Stransky, partner and co-chair of Thompson Hine’s Privacy & Cybersecurity group, and Lacy Rex, vice president and cyber strategic leader at Oswald Companies, recently published an article, “Unlawful data processing claims: An insurance perspective."
The article examines lawsuits focusing on whether businesses lawfully collect and use personal data and offers guidance on compliance efforts to minimize the risk of being subject to unlawful data processing claims as well as strategies to ensure that data management practices meet insurers’ requirements.
The article was published by the International Association of Privacy Professionals, the world’s largest nonprofit information privacy organization.
