Chelsea is an associate in the Construction practice group, focusing on transactional “front end” representation. In her practice, Chelsea advises owners, contractors and design professionals on construction projects in a variety of industries, including projects for event and entertainment venues, energy and infrastructure facilities, multifamily residential developments, distribution centers and manufacturing and production facilities. She negotiates project agreements and advises clients on risk management, claims avoidance and resolution.
Before joining Thompson Hine, Chelsea was an associate in the construction practice group of a national law firm. In that role, she negotiated contracts and represented both private and public clients in disputes over issues such as project delay, payment, mechanic’s liens, payment and performance bonds, and design and construction defects. Prior to entering private practice, Chelsea served for two years as an assistant attorney general in the Public Utilities and Health and Human Services Sections of the Ohio Attorney General’s Office.
