John’s practice focuses on commercial litigation matters for California-based and national clients. He has represented clients in major contract, fraud, patent, insurance and malpractice cases, as well as First Amendment and other matters. He has advised one of the world’s largest providers of computer products and services, several of the nation’s largest food processors, and numerous entities in the personal care products industry, as well as major construction companies and insurance brokers. John has represented clients in state and federal trial and bankruptcy courts throughout the United States and before administrative agencies such as the California Air Resources Board, Federal Aviation Administration, International Trade Commission, U.S. and California Departments of Justice, Federal Trade Commission, Department of Energy Office of Hearings and Appeals, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, Council on Wage and Price Stability, Better Business Bureau National Advertising Review Board, and additional state regulatory bodies. He has briefed and argued numerous appellate matters in the California Supreme Court, California Courts of Appeal and U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and filed briefs in additional courts of appeal and the U.S. Supreme Court.
