Over the past several years, Steve and his team of real estate, finance and corporate attorneys have focused on representing private debt issuers. Their work primarily involves facilitating loans from non-bank institutions to private companies for real estate-related projects based on cash flows, partnership equity or hard assets. In certain cases, these loans may carry a higher level of risk. Steve and his team often become deeply involved in loan work-out and restructuring negotiations. This work may lead to insolvency proceedings, foreclosure and the sale of indebtedness.
In addition to his work with private debt issuers, Steve provides valuable assistance to investors and special asset managers. He offers guidance and support in the purchase or sale of distressed single-asset properties or portfolios of distressed properties.
