Kim helps clients on complex business and commercial matters affecting their business. Kim counsels clients on issues related to new company growth, manufacturing, domestic and international distribution, supply chain issues, intellectual property protection, risk management and avoidance of risk.
Kim has over 15 years of experience as a regulatory attorney and litigator. She helps clients with regulatory and statutory compliance on matters involving consumer protection statutes, advertising laws and regulations, and product claims and labeling. Kim has substantial experience in counseling clients on strategic compliance with California’s Proposition 65 and defending clients against Proposition 65 Notices of Violation and litigation involving claims of alleged exposure to carcinogens and reproductive toxicants regulated by the State of California. She has particular experience in representing clients in the personal care products industry, including manufacturers and distributors of cosmetics and over-the-counter drugs. Kim is a regular presenter on legal and regulatory compliance topics for the personal care products industry, including providing legal insight through the Personal Care Products Council.
Kim has litigated matters in federal and state court and defended clients before independent tribunals and administrative bodies, including the National Advertising Division, California Air Resources Board and California Department of Public Health.
