Filip is an associate in the Business Litigation group. Prior to joining the firm, he was a law clerk for Justice Robert R. Reed of the New York State Supreme Court, Commercial Division, New York County. During his clerkship, he assisted Justice Reed on a broad range of matters, including those involving breach of contract, fiduciary duties, fraud, business torts, derivative actions, professional malpractice, noncompetition and confidentiality agreements, trade secrets, residential mortgage-based securities, insurance coverage, Securities Act of 1933, anti-SLAPP statutes, and First Amendment.
Filip also has previous experience at an Am Law 100 firm, where he was an associate in the Executive Compensation and Employee Benefits practice.
While attending law school, Filip served as an intern for the New York State Attorney General’s Office, the Queens District Attorney’s Office, and Judge George B. Daniels of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
