Mike is a managing associate in the Labor & Employment practice group. He focuses his practice on all areas of labor and employment law, including litigation, counseling and traditional labor relations.
Prior to joining Thompson Hine, Mike gained extensive litigation experience at three Ohio-based law firms. He represented both employers and individuals in a variety of labor and employment, personal injury, construction law and business litigation claims, with a focus on representing public and private employers in both litigation and counseling matters related to a variety of labor and employment issues including sexual harassment claims, discrimination claims, retaliation, EEOC and OCRC charges, FLSA, FMLA, ADA, ADEA, Title IX and 42 USC 1981 claims.
While in law school, Mike served as a law clerk for the Honorable Steven K. Dankof of the Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas. Mike also served as a firefighter and paramedic for nearly 14 years. In that role, he was responsible for emergency rescue and fire suppression, and he participated in negotiating collective bargaining agreements in his capacity as vice president of the Firefighters Association.
